My Birthday Book (Buy It Please)

This year for my birthday, I’m giving myself a book. No, I am not about to recommend a reading list or tell you about some beautiful photos. No, I am giving myself my book. One you can give to yourself, too. Buy it here.

I spent most of my life believing that I wasn’t a good writer. Hell, I didn’t think I was good at doing much of anything. Believing that everything I wrote had to be good for someone else is exactly what stood between me and publishing for the last 3 years.

See, I have four drafts written. Thousands of words ready for the world that I decided aren’t good enough to let anyone see. For what reason? I'm still not sure. But one day after another deleted revision, Melissa from my team sent an email. She had taken the time to format my document with a title page and everything. “I just wanted you to see that this is a real book. You’re a writer.”

My Dream Was Something Real Now

Ever since that day when I got the chance to see my book as something that felt real, I decided that even if I was the only person who ever held it? I was going to publish this thing.

So after months of edits, cover design by the incredible Lauren Davis, managing a kick ass launch team and a company, I’m letting this see the world. If I can make one wish, I hope this becomes eternal proof to myself that I can do whatever seems impossible.

Ok, one more wish. It’s that you’ll buy the book.
