Pronoun Education + ERG Speaker

Training your workplace on pronouns impacts so much more than company culture.

It saves lives.

Meet Katrina Kibben.

LGBTQ+ Speaker + Job Post Writing Expert

I am not a DEI expert. I am a non-binary person and recruiting expert. That's why this presentation isn't like others on pronouns. It wasn't created with some formal outline. It was created using my lived experiences and the advice I shared with the people I love when they were trying to understand me better. The same examples and stories I offered my HR and recruiting clients when they came to me for advice about supporting queer and non-binary employees.

One question I'm asked all the time: How do I get pronouns right?

    Communication For Inclusive Teams

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your incredibly vulnerable and authentic facilitation today for me and my colleagues. Homage is the first workplace where I have ever revealed that I am queer, as it is the only workplace I have ever felt safe enough to do so. That being said, there is still plenty of work to be done at our organization, which is why I'm grateful that Sam invited you to join us this afternoon. Your words mean the world to hear. I feel simultaneously advocated for, and also better equipped to advocate for others. To put it bluntly, you're the tits.

I think I've watched this Inclusive Candidate Experience Webinar three times over (and then required my team watch it). I just want to let you know how IMMENSELY helpful almost every word of this session is! Whether to validate what we're already doing, or giving us some good suggestions of things we can be doing. So often when I join these webinars, a lot of the suggestions feel obvious, but there was so much useful info here. I love it.

I’m just reaching out to say thank you for your presentation. Wow! I was moved within literally the first few minutes (and I know a lot of my coworkers were, too). The work you’re doing is so valuable, and I appreciated your vulnerability with the group. I’m new to expressing myself fully and really “living my truth” so to speak, and to see someone else out there working successfully and just being themselves is a huge inspiration.

It's been on my bucket list to do a session with the one and only Katrina Kibben and today that finally happened! It was even better because I was able to do it as a cross-collab session to also include members from our internal comms and DEI team. We all work to share engaging and unique Toaster stories in various mediums and l'm so glad we were able to take this time together to re-center around our passion for storytelling and how we elevate and support one another.
