Lerner Farrington wrote this post (that I can't find) a few months ago that really got me thinking about this blog. Thinking about how it shouldn't jut be a how to, 100% functional place because that's not how I connect with people. It's not my style in real life so why should it sound that way here?
That's not how I become a better writer which means I'm not accomplishing anything I intended to do when I decided to blog. That means I need to start (and maintain) a stream of consciouness Sunday so here's... really, I have no idea what's going to happen here.
Update: Lerner is awesome and sent me the manifesto post. Read it here. Be inspired.

Setting a timer and writing for 5 minutes is an odd thing. It's like stage fright but on a keyboard. No one's watching me but my brain isn't much of a show horse. I actually find my biggest joy in watching bad reality television.
There. I said it.
I get a laugh out of the Jersey Shore. I have watched the Real World since their Boston season. And despite the fact that you could never catch me in a dress, I can make recommendations to most women on Say Yes to the Dress. I also love those hard nosed documentaries about sex trades and adoptions. I guess it's a dose of something mentally stimulating to balance the really bad TV I watch most of the time. Redemption television. Does that even count for the brain cells I lost trying to figure out Snooki? It's like an addiction. I don't tweet about it and rarely quote it on Facebook because I'm..well, embarrassed.

OK so I tried to write for 5 minutes. Lots of awkward pauses so I gave myself a little extra time. If you want to try this at home here's the gist of it:
This was my 5 minute Stream of Consciousness Sunday post hosted by allthingsfadra.com. It’s five minutes of your time and a brain dump. Want to try it? Here are the rules…
- Set a timer and write for 5 minutes only.
- Write an intro to the post if you want but don’t edit the post. No proofreading or spellchecking. This is writing in the raw.
- Publish it
